who is she?
Aasia LaShay Bullock is a Los Angeles-based comedian, writer, actress, singer, dancer, rapper, music producer, and artisanal blunt roller. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Aasia moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University while simultaneously studying at the Second City. She quickly began to make a space for herself in the Chicago comedy scene with the success of the two-person sketch show Uncle Tom and Jerry Curl and the follow up Beyonce’ featuring Jesus, both with writing partner Dewayne Perkins. Aasia was then given the opportunity to write and perform in the 40th Second City etc Revue A Red Line Runs Through It. She has been featured in Vanity Fair, NBC's Break Out Comedy Festival, The Today Show, Inside Culture on Irish Public Radio, The Fly Honeys Show, the Brown Girls webseries, Showtime's The Chi and most recently NBC’s The Good Place as Daphne. She won multiple awards at the 2017 New York Television Festival with the webseries Starving Artists, including Best Short Form Digital Project and a development deal with Red Arrow Entertainment. In 2017, she independently released her debut comedic rap EP, Unemployed.
